All the huff and puff from Arteta only to have Arsenal finish.....4th place
But but we beat Real Madrid. We are a big club now :ROFLMAO:
They acted so tough to be piss poor against PSG.
Classic Arsenal, a boys team.
Trophless.
Paying unreal ticket price to see a loser team playing football.

I'm kinda sad for their fans.

Have dropped to 55th in the world and 20th in UK (out of 75,000 and 27,000). Still extremely high but disappointing after being tenth in the world a few weeks ago.

Am limping over the finish line. Last week was particularly tough - so many upsets and the community average was 2 correct outcomes out of 10.

Here's my overall 2024 (print screen not working at moment). I have struggled in CL and Serie A and FA Cup, relatively speaking, but top 0 percent in four domestic leagues and top 2 percent in one of the others is very good going.

Heard about that last night. Situation could have been avoided apparently (I didn't watch the game).

Hopefully he will recover and be safe, horrible to hear about anyone being in a bad way. Really hope he will be fine and back playing soon.

Definitely avoidable, was a pretty clear offside but refs let the action play. Here at around 8:25.

And what's worse is that doctors let him back in the game.

Yeah the other Forest player was a mile offside. In those cases common sense should prevail and they should be allowed to just raise the flag, especially when players are bursting through and straining every sinew. That was a horrible collision with the post. I really hope he will be ok.

I think induced comas can be a preventative measure because they make it easier for medications and surgery to work. Sure I have read it before. So hopefully this coma thing is just temporary and he will be fine.

Pretty sure he had internal bleedings but yeah, hopefully he'll be ok.

And these delayed offside flags are stupid. I think since the introduction of VAR assistants are becoming "alibi refs". Most of them don't want to take responsibility even if it's a pretty clear situation and I'm always waiting for players to pull muscles or get even worse (as in this case) injuries when sprinting and sometimes tackling needlessly.

Yes hope he will be ok, internal bleeing is bad but there's a lot medicine can do now.

True, not just the assistants either, the refs themselves. A lot of them don't wanna make a decision as they feel VAR will bail them out anyway if they make an error. Which inevitably leads to those errors.

I was in favour of VAR at the start but the more I see it the more it seems open to corruption. In saying that, I don't really wanna go back to the days where the ref or assistants have a howler and clear red card challenges/penalties/offsides aren't given or called etc. But TBH they're so incompetent or corrupt that they're still making lots of mistakes even with the tool of VAR.

Delayed offsides actually make sense when you consider the alternative. If linesmen start putting their flag up early, they will inevitably get it wrong now and again and fans will be crying for weeks about those sorts of decisions that deny them goalscoring opportunities.

And people will say, just do it for the obvious offsides. But when you rely on a linesman to decide what is obvious you are entering into the field of play subjectivity, and that always leads to errors. It leads to the possibility of the linesman raising his flag for a non existent offside on Lamine in the last minute of a Classico, that he thought was ' obvious '. Imagine that.

You've already seen this happen in the rare occasion they've done this. Remember the hullabaloo in the De Ligt Bayern Vardrid match.

Football is imperfect but delayed offsides are definitely the lesser of the two evils.

First bit of live Premier League football I've seen since the early stages of the season when Liverpool entertained me.

My God, it's like watching paint dry. The standard and attacking intent is almost non existent.

Have more respect for Don Hansi now than I did even yesterday. He saved football ENTERTAINMENT this season.

Watching Hansi-ball week in week out, makes all other football matches pale in comparison
