Semi-Neutral

Sir Alupp Heynrguson
We have been a lot more defensive lately, true, still wouldn't consider us parking the bus though

We just need to get it out of our half, not lose the ball so quickly

More like critical of the special treatment they get. When Chelsea plays like that, sitting deep and having 30% of the ball, they are criticised for it. But when Arsenal does that, it's good football. Ridiculous double standards really.

Don, he hasn't done anything wrong and has kept 3 clean sheets in 3 games, kind of similar to the Bravo-Ter Stegen situation

It makes sense for Arsenal to play more defensive away from home.

They have the potential to be devestating on the break with the pace of Walcott, Sanchez, Wellbeck and the passing of Cazorla and Ozil.

The Arsenal team of old with Henry/Pires probably one of the best teams ever at balancing possession football and quick break football.

Who is saying Arsenal playing like that is 'good football'?

Arsenal are one of the most criticised teams in the EPL the past 10 years if not the most criticised.

Chelsea on the other hand under Mourinho have most pundits purring over them.

Oh, cool. A friend said he's more secure than Szczesny too so if it's true then I guess the Pole will have to work his socks off to get his starting place back.

Cazorla has probably been our worst player so far, hasn't offered anything defensively or going forward, but really everyone needs to release the ball quicker and not get caught in possession, Ozil, Welbeck, Ramsey as well

I saw a lot of people criticising Chelsea for their performance against Liverpool last season for example, despite being the better team and winning. While Arsenal were getting praised for their win against City. They converted the two chances they had (two set pieces) but other than that defended deep with ten men behind the ball. Not much different to the Chelsea performance tbh.

Before that they got criticised for being tactically naive but in general most criticism was more about them not having the mental strength to win against the big boys. Though you can't really expect a possession game to work when the team doesn't press. And for a team that is portrayed as one that has a certain style of playing, it's very disappointing to see them abandoning their philosophy just so they have a slightly better chance to win. Really good managers could make their team play the same way but improve the finer details of it.
