If he has an ounce of motivation, he definitely goes to Serie A. But knowing him he would only go to an institution with some wiggle room or he'd get moody about not having enough to build with within a year.
Staying in England makes no sense for a Spaniard that basically mastered it, slapped your name into the English coaching thought and your only serious challenger that isn't your predictable clone has quit.

Fairly sure in his head he'd love to be the one who went to all 4 and beat them all. Only Mourinho and Carlo got a comparable league haul across countries, so if that matters to him, it's surely the target. Doesnt help they're absolutely useless managing their money but hey, Barca ain't better

That or leech off the other Qatari in Paris but doubt he needs that money after all these years

Why would he leave the best and most competitive league in the world with the best coaches to go to Serie fuckn A?
Yes, Italian football is on the rise, and now with Motta Inzaghi going for the title, Fonseca back, Conte back, it would be even more exciting

BUT is still light years behind EPL
If he wants to still coach at highest level he stays where he is
if he wants to take a break/leave highest level for good he goes to coach Spain NT, or even become Laporta's official advisor

He won't coach Barca again.

Him taking over a Laporta Barca in current state would be a sight to see

TBH at this stage itd be just to get a retirement fuck you money. His youngest daughter is 16, about to get independent and leave home. All he needs is a cushy seat without much limit and people to challenge him or answer to. Fleece Juve for all they're worth and sit in your villa for the next 20 years as a man who locked 4 of 4 top leagues for at least a season. Hole to die in and people to bury him as a famous quote goes

Ronaldo already fleeced them dry, what do they have left?

Nah no point staying in EPL if you're not being challenged by original thought counter to your own. League is swarmed by wannabes by now. No advantage staying there when you're 53 and could still get 1 or 2 stints and keep making your name Europe wide.
+ he knows the club is tainted and will want to weasel out if it turns sour

Gerland about Pep's Bayern stint

Is the door to coaching FC Barcelona closed in the future? Pep Guardiola: “Yes, they are closed.”

Scared of taking on a real challenge.
