Had the talent to become a world beater,
and he became a meme...

Shows that mindset and making correct life decisions is more necessary eventually than talent
Always knew he was shite.

Typical YouTube Footballer. Looks great in clips but if you watch him over a season, you'll know how overrated and inconsistent and invisible he is.

Needs numerous players to babysit him in midfield which says it all really.

It's never his fault. It's always the manager, the system, the teammates, blah blah.

He's a total dinosaur and an absolute misfit and liability in modern club Football.

Works in international Football because the pace is much slower, opponents are shit and Kante and Matuidi were there to babysit him.

Should stick to those cringeworthy hairstyles and celebrations.

The most overrated player of his generation. By far actually. Couldn't have happened to a nicer guy!

All of that, which I don't disagree at all, are outcomes not of inherent flaws in his abilities, but flaws in his mind.
Had he had the right mindset, he would have never opted for money instead of project/career/titles,
he would have never doped himself,
he would have taken care of himself,
and eventually he would have learnt how to defend and play for the team under a top manager

A career wasted because he is an idiot

That's why ability is only a third of the game.

Physical and mental attributes form the remainder of the game.

He has nobody but himself to blame for it.

Reminds me of Tanguy Ndombele who's insanely talented but an absolute clown.

As per regulations when it comes to suspended players, Juve only have to pay Pogba the minimum wage laid out in the Collective Agreement with the Italian Association of Footballers. That means the 30-year-old midfielder is receiving €42,177 gross per year – which equates to around €2,000 per month.
He could still afford going out clubbing, I guess. Without the deluxe stuff.

Talented but people talked about him like he was as gifted as Zidane...no, not for me, not even close.

Even if he had been mentally focused and professional, I think people overestimated his abilities to an extent anyway. He was terrible when pressed and a lot of what he did was freestyle stuff that has no real bearing on a game. Never seen a player lose the ball on the halfway line as much as he did.

Far more important is he's a PR, ego and billy big bollocks type. He won the World Cup but was essentially a waste of a career. Bellingham (a less talented player) could go the same way if he isn't careful.

A cautionary tale on hyping players beyond what they are capable of. And especially doing it far too early.

I still can't get over that United let him go to Juve for free, bought him back for £85 million or whatever, he was mostly poor, then he went back to Juve on a free

Fergie W.

Was a beast for Juve though. Probably should have just stayed there.
He was made to look better because of Pirlo, Marchisio and Vidal imo. They freed him up to try doing fancy stuff. He was never gonna be able to run a midfield the way they asked him to at Man United. He needed to be the creative player, but he could only play left of a three man midfield. It seemed he needed very specific conditions to accommodate his overstated talent.

Has there ever been a time when the coach was blasted by the fans for getting rid of/underrating/etc X player and the coach wasn't vindicated?

Valverde/Arthur.
Fergie/Pogba.
Even with the infamous Pep/Eto'o the real problem was that it happened a year too early. And that we brought in Ibra instead of Villa.
