Or that some players just don't fit the system. Ibrahimovic didn't really fit in the system when he was here either and he is by no means a "nothing player".

Zlatan did though. He was the first player to score in 7 consecutive league games or something like that. Everything was fine until Messi decided he wanted to play in the centre then Zlatan started to struggle out of position.

Same thing happened to David villa and could have happened to Suarez if Messi didnt decide he was ok with going back on the wing again.

Zlatan actually is a superb passer of the ball and fit our system well.

Agree with every thing except that - Our pressing would have sucked balls with him and we would still have struggled

However, we didn't exactly suck that season, and the reason we ruined that season was completely down to Pep - Play your team to the best of their strengths - if somebody does not suit your idea of playing, don't buy them!!

He can be coached to press with time. Before Pep arrived players like Aguero would never press but they adapted after a year

If BVB decides to trigger his buy clause, there is nothing that we can do about it right? I still think Paco could be useful for us.

What messed up Zlatan time in FCB was his narcisic and egoistic character. Does not fit in this squad.

Not really Pep stopped talking to him and played him as a winger so his performance dipped naturally. Zlatan is the ultimate professional and is always a popular figure in the dressing room.

of course he is doing good at Dortmund, they play direct football and they are not facing team which defends deep, he was doing good also at Valencia , while at Barca, with slow possession football and facing 70% teams that defends deep, he couldnt do better.

it will be probably the same with dembele

Even Coutinho is performing below his level(still going great, but is capable of playing better) because of our lethargic, slow possession style of play.

Whether he was a bad fit as personality or not, he was bad fit as a player. Pep really didn't know what he was buying as a player.
Ibra came here knowing Messi is better, but Messi was also RW when he joined, he didn't compete with Ibra for the space he is occupying on the pitch
