Ousmane Dembélé

Agreed, I always defended him at Barca

Didn't like how he left us.

But this is one of those situations where the word NOONE saw this coming as it relates to his turn of form since January to Ballon D'or levels, not even the few who are trying to claim something with him now.

Yamal as definitely been better than him though, but if they give it to him for the CL, it's understandable.
I don't think this season for him is that unthinkable, when you consider that his numbers here were not bad either if you analyse on a minutes basis. He just never played a full season or even close to it and had major injuries in every season.

If he had been playing full uninterrupted seasons for us back to back he probably would reach similar numbers here.

Assist yea, but his finishing was always spotty

Most said the same with Vinicius last year.
I think it's most likely Dembele, Yamal may not even win the most valuable player in La Liga for 2025 (Mbappe won the fans voting, Pedri won La Liga player of the season from the Athletic, and Yamal won it from ESPN), so votes are split for Barca players. In UCL Raphinha has the edge over Yamal.

Now for France and PSG, all cards seem to be on Dembele. He has better g/a than Yamal, and won more trophies (Had 2 assist in the finals where they won by 5-0). so I imagine when they want to vote, it'll be split between Raphinha and Yamal for Barca's POV, and Dembele wins it (based on his contributions and winnings this year, i would say it's deserved)

Dembele about to join an elite group of players who won the holy trinity (World Cup, Ballon D'or, Champions League)

Giving the ballon d'or to that headless chicken would mean than real Madrid was right, this trophy is a clown trophy. The only way for France football than football fans take them seriously again is giving the ballon d'or to the best player in the world, Lamine Yamal Nasraoui Ebana.

I think Yamal will have majority votes of Barca, it is Raphinha and Pedri who have to share votes for Yamal. Similiar to Messi back then. Yamal is the centre of the team right now.

There will be a match between Yamal and Dembele next week. National league i know, but a lot would see it as the match to decide the winner of Bdor this year.

He was playing all over the pitch yesterday.

Owes Lucho a lot and it’s clear he is Lucho’s most trusted man. Going by the freedom he is afforded and the pressing he puts in for Lucho.

Still has the bozo gene as his shots yesterday were rushed (that’s why he’ll always be rated lower than Mbappe just because Mbappe is a lethal finisher while being a worse footballer).
