Who votes for the best player will vote for Yamal but there are more factors at play

By this logic Messi would win much more than he did

If people actually watch games, it's obvious who the best player in the world is.

Lamine's level v Inter was different gravy to anything Dembele has shown this season.

And Lamine does have 39 or 40 G+A this season and almost 2x the number of dribbles than 2nd place (Vini) across Europe.

Lamine is special, I think he's the best RW in the world now, and he's just 17, but Ballon D'or is more than that, your stats, and club achievement in the season are also a vital factor (Dembele edges him there).

If you combine club league games and UCL, Dembele has 39 g/a in 42 games (2725 minutes, so that's 1.28 g/a per 90 minutes), Now Lamine has 26 g/a in 41 games (3590 minutes, so that's 0.65 g/a per 90 minutes), so Lamine even has 865 minutes more than Dembele but dembouz edges well in stats, now checking club's achievement for the season, PSG are in contention to win lots of trophies which would help.

Lamine is just 17, so would have lots of time to win it in the future, PSG are also doing a great job in managing Dembele's minutes cause he doesn't have lots, like other players but he's been so vital for them, so he has a great chance of winning it if they win the UCL.

Unfortunately, it's not certain at all.
They will look first and foremost to see if they can give it to someone from Inter, if Inter wins CL.
No major NT tournament in the summer further complicates things.

The way this individual award has been handed has been a disgrace.

Dembele and Kvara are amazing on the eye.

Dembele for all his bozo moments has always been a very naturally gifted Footballer.

He has the stats and the eye test going for him this year.

Dembele is anything but a robotic G/A merchant.
