Neymar Jr. - v5

Doesnt imply anything other than him making out they calculated it would take 150m to sign him which was much more than Barca offered.

We really have no idea of that. For starters, we don't know what the 150 million he mentions amounted to, exactly, and we're still figuring out how much money Barça has spent and still spends, directly and indirectly (with shady "account engineering") in getting him to play for us. Florentino throws a rough quantity, but we don't know if that includes the salary, for example.

It could be him saying that is how high needed to go to beat Barca to him and decided against it. Wouldnt believe anything he says anyway as could well be trying to save face.

Probably. Since Barça's offer included shady ad hoc complementary contracts and the tax avoidance/evasion these contracts were designed for, he probably offered more straight money in contrast to the shady deal we got, which includes things like Neymar Sr. getting 2 million a year for being a talent scout for us. These contracts aren't officially part of the deal, but it's beyond ridiculous to think they're separate from Neymar's signing. By the time Florentino made those statements, Neymar's signing was very recent and we were told it officially costed 57 million euros. Of course, between the lines, Florentino was implying that there was something shady about those figures. This is not the type of deal that screams "he went where his heart is". It's beyond ludicrous that, after all the contracts signed with Neymar Sr. exclusively for the purpose of disguising all the extra amount they're getting since 2013, we're still with the "RM offered more and he chose us" mantra.

He never denied Real making a bid and you can recap on what was said in court about Reals offer being bigger which no one challenged and you can recap on Neymars agent saying Real made bigger offer. That agent seems obsessed by Real and wouldnt be part of this great idea that Barca made it up about the Real offer.

If you keep thinking in terms of offers directly linked to his contract as a footballer, I don't see a reason why this isn't true. But this is far from the whole story in the "he got a better offer from Real Madrid". That's a very narrow view of the whole thing.

All the evidence points to Real bidding for him and it being a better financial offer than Barcas.

All the evidence points to Neymar Sr. being a money grabber, and the additional contracts Barça signed with him are evidence of a whole dishonest operation designed to feed him by proxy more money than his contract stipulated.

1) Shame on Neymar for remaining quiet though all this shit. Pique cares about the fans and the club, but I cannot say the same about Neymar.

2) If Pique's confirmation is valid, this is going to be a temporary fix to serious problem. Neymar Sr will stir up shit again, it will only be a matter of time and the club should plan for this even if it means telling Neymar and his father to fuck off. We cannot accept being held hostage in the dark like this.

3) Thank you Pique.

You're welcome
Absolutely. Still, loving it how Pique forced it. Ney could have done it himself if he had respect for Barca.

He actually did Pique a huge favour letting him break the news. The amount of traffic that photo will generate...

I don't fully understand this argument. What if Neymar wasn't sure himself and just reached his decision? What should he announce, that he is thinking it over?

Where was Messi during that period after 2013/2014's season when all the transfer rumours made the rounds and him not being happy and all at barca?

Perez doesnt deny making a bid and mentions an amount far above what was paid that they were not willing to go to.

Real havent challenged anything that was said in court about their bid being higher, and many people connected have mentioned Reals higher offer as well as the agent who is in love with Real and has no loyalty to Barca.

Everything points to Real making the higher bid.
