True but he doesn't have as good defense or midfield to recover for him as Dani had.. Now he needs to be there to coverr for Pique and Lenglet. I don't think he trusts them. That's an issue too.

First half was slow and he looked poor. Second half was much faster and he was creating a lot of real danger in the final 3rd even if he didn't get the final ball off.

And let's stop pretending like Roberto has been good offensively in the past few years, or that he EVER was good offensively in games that mattered aside from clown-show back and forth Clasicos. Dude has 0 CL assists in his entire career, while Semedo has shown clear improvement under Setien and assisted against Napoli.

Tempo matters, and our slow pace of play has been killing the rhythm of many players we've had for a while now including Semedo/FDJ/etc.

Alves was braver as he was on a completely different level technically and could be braver with it.

Semedo is at his best when he is reacting and has less time to think.

If he has time on ball he invariably sprints. Stops. Passes inside.

Still think he has been more postive last few games than seen at times in past.
