Born in Vendôme, France he Joined Lyon's youth setup at the age of 16 in 2013 where he prominently featured for Lyon at various levels since then. after the departure of Samuel Umtiti to Barcelona, Diakhaby was promoted to the First team in the summer of 2016 where he has become a regular for the side playing 23 matches across all competitions for the team despite competition from players such as Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa,Nicolas N'Koulou and Emanuel Mammana for a starting spot and with both N'Koulou and Mammana being signed in the summer of 2016.

Certainly another young Lyon CB to keep an eye on as he progresses.

According to Sport we want Yerry Mina+ another CB and one of those CB options is Diakhaby.

He's raw as hell but an interesting option. but going by what Lyon fans say about him it doesn't seem like he has that young Umtiti like potential or fanfare.
