It's a pain to watch him play Football.

He's genuinely the worst "best player in the PL" ever.

Has been absolute dogshit since this year started.

Can't do the basics right anymore and ruins many of our attacks.

He's a stats (G/A) merchant but now that's drying up too.

Maybe he would be better if he focussed on Football instead of political conflicts?

Maybe he would be better if he didn't disrespect the man who saved his career and made him what he is?

Bench him now.

Didn't he win Liverpool something like 40+ points last season? Him overperforming was cover for an average Liverpool that got lucky City had an off season. Liverpool are playing as poorly as they did in the second half of last season; only Salah isn’t clicking now with Trent gone.

I wouldn't write him off just yet - class is permanent and 33 isn't that old. He's a smart player usually.

In general, Real players were not wrong, they said the real games are played in February. That's what we need to aim too. Play the big games. Same for Salah and the top players.

Last season Liverpool peaked too early. You want to peak later like PSG and win it all. Start of the season you want to keep up with others, rest of the season you crush them. Winning method.

Yes you are correct Fin mate. It's all about pacing. 9 months is a long season and finding when to his your peak is an art in itself. It's impossible to play well in every game or even for the full 9 months. You need to sustain a decent level but hit your peak level in the spring, as you say PSG did.

The thing is, that football is not like the FIFA games. In those, players never tire, you can use the same 11 all the time. But even though we talk about footballers like they're robots, they are human beings and will tire mentally and physically, will get injured, make errors. Same goes for the coaching team - they will make mistakes.

When you think about it, there are a huge amount of variables in football. Combine that with the fine margins at the elite level of the sport between similar teams in talent level, and it's an amazing achievement to win the PL, or La Liga, or the CL, or Serie A.
