Rashica is said to be “high up” the list, the website reports. According to Weser-Kurier, the general framework for a possible transfer has long been determined. The Kosovan, who scored ten and assisted four goals in 21 matches in all competitions, reportedly has a release clause in his contract running until 2022.
According to the report, Rashica can leave Werder prematurely for a fee of €38 million, under the condition that he will join a club in one of the four top leagues of England, Spain, Italy or France. For a transfer within the Bundesliga, the fee would have to be negotiated between the parties involved. A clause for a transfer to a direct rival therefore does not exist. It is possible that BVB would have to pay more than clubs from abroad because of this. Werder will probably have a new record departure in any case soon, while Dortmund would have to shatter their transfer record for Rashica as well.
