In fairness, Puyol wasn't that impressive early on in his career. His positional play was suspect a times but his passion won everybody over. He improved greatly as he got older. Maybe something similar will happen with Barta. It seems pretty obvious that he wont be one to slack off. He'll become the best player that he can be. We just have to see how good that will be and if its enough to be starting centre back at one of the biggest teams in the world.
