Man Utd have limited options. Throwing Zinedine Zidane's name is a pipedream, there's zero connection between the guy and the club. Antonio Conte is not leaving Napoli, so yeah Xavi funnily enough is a frontrunner to be the next Man Utd manager. Of course if the club hands Michael Carrick some time and patience like next 6 years we will rebuild, he's our next SAF. Like Ole.

Pretty sure he wanted to be sacked. This job kept ruining his reputation, he was long out of ideas at United and his sacking was "when", not "if". So better now than later and start with new energy in summer again. I think him criticizing the board was calculated to finally get sacked, because they couldn't ignore it without losing self-respect. Now he enjoys a big check, recharges his batteries for half a year and starts somewhere new, maybe even in Spain. Atleti, Bilbao could look for a new manager for next season.

Yeah, was joking for the bad English. Amorim didn't seek any sacking, he just stood his ground. "I am the manager. Not the coach." obviously someone backstage is making the big decisions behind his back. Amorim kept his dignity clean, but shouldn't have made this giant leap so early into the career in the first place.

He did, but he knew by doing this, his sacking was inevitable, because he had zero buffer with the board to begin with. If he wanted to stay, he would have kept quiet. Maybe the step wasn't too big, it was just a wrong step into dog shit, because current United is a chaos team, where even the likes of Pep and Klopp would get serious problems to turn things around.
Next station of him will certainly show, if he's overrated or just United being a whorehouse on fire.

Nah. Recent results were okay and there were signs that things started to improve finally with this retarded squad.
It's injustice to Amorim to judge him for just 14 months in charge and getting sacked for board criticism.

Just 14 months? He finished 15th in the league last season, 11 wins, 9 draws, and 18 losses. Any respectable top club would have canned him after that. Man U gave him WAY too much time to prove his incompetence.
