Senegalese CB on loan at Barca Atletic from MLS side Los Angeles FC. Barca have a buy option reportedly somewhere around 6m.

He was loaned to Villarreal B and played regularly in Segunda last season and also had a single appearance off the bench in La Liga against Girona.

After being ineligible to play for bureaucratic problems for first two months of the season he finally made his debut against Rajo Majadahonda two weeks ago and impressed in first start vs Sabadell last week scoring his first goal and also showing good chemistry with fellow Senegalese Mika Faye.

Let's see how long it'll take for Cissé to call both him and Faye up to Senegal NT. Seems like he's not doing them any favours and that they will have to prove themselves. Not like Ondoa who played ahead of Onana for Cameroon despite only playing for Barca B.

He is 21 in a few days time. Not old by any means but not that young either.

Club will have to make a decision quickly on if he can make the first, or if we can make a profit after spending 6m.

Chadi and Marmol (well we got a buyback still) both playing in LaLiga at similar ages so question is also if Mbacke is or will be better than them.

Very bright start though, and I imagine if we somehow promote that we will try to keep him for the second division atleast.

Nope, can't afford to pay 3m. He'll also turn 22 in November so not the youngest anymore and we already have a log jam at CB in first team and some promising talents upcoming. Hopefully we can also add Jorthy Mokio to the mix.

Good player though and wouldn't be surprised if he'd make a solid career in a top 5 league.

Also really a shame he missed end of the season and playoffs due to injury.

Interesting if true. No reports about this in Catalan media yet and I didn't expect us to buy him. Would make some sense if we're promoted as he already has experience from Segunda from his season at Villarreal B but probably plan is to sell him for profit. Wonder how much we could get though.

Would be our best CB at the B next season (should have been Fall-Natali) and important to try and survive the category.

Because he would have a season as a LaLiga starter. And Alaves generally survive off of their loan transfers and done wonders for Rafa Marin, Samu last season, and Theo before.
