Will be a big risk for their full backs to play like they do against Barca when have Yamal or Raphinha running at your CBs if get it wrong.

Both City and Bayern got chances from space out wide against them and time to get balls into box let alone what Barca wide players could do it left 1v1.

City and Bayern got a lot of chances from balls out wide and late runners into box as their full backs allow a lot of room and not a lot of height in their tracking runners from midfield.

Wide players and Olmo could have a field day.

At same time they have tests Barca havent faced this season either.

That is all if both make it.

Arsenal have that wide pace and runners into box to hurt them also if get in those situations enough and can somewhat cope with their pace other way.

Lucho and Flick are both the same in will barely alter approach to game and allow players to smash on head first and see who comes out on top.

With spain his system of play was a parody of tiki taka, (pass the ball and nothing more) and spain scored so few goal against very good opponent.

How things are so different right now ?

Has he changed his style ?

Not much just much of Spanish team were used to gimpball from Barca is all.

The Neymar, Mbappe, ADM, Verratti, Thiago Silva team was better imo.

Verratti was more talented than the current PSG mids. People don't realise how gifted this lil guy was.

Thiago Silva was levels above any current PSG defender.

So, you think they had better players back then, and don't rate the manager who is doing it again with inferior team? Or you just feel the hype is excessive?

PSG has only played 4 CL semifinals btw, losing 3 of them and winning one during covid. Lucho will be the first ever coach to have appeared in 2 CL semifinals, unless he bottles it against Villa. They have made it b2b before but with different coaches.

If he leads them to the finals (still a long way to go) he is their best ever European manager, at least result wise. This goes along a total domination of both the cup and the league.

There is a reason PSG fans love him. They are playing well, winning and above all are building a new identity, after Leonardo turned them into a Galactico meme.

Not about individual but overall team performance. Current Qsg clearly play with style.

How psg scored as many goals with him as a manager ?

He has improved much more which is nice to see.

Shows his struggles with Spain had more to do with lack of quality on wings than his coaching skills. He got bit unlucky Williams and Yamal blew up right after he left the national team.

He's doing with PSG what he tried to do with Spain, as it relates to positional rotation.

The defenders and fullback forms a base, and everyone else plays where they get the ball at that moment.

His football is actually attractive, vs flick that's just attacking.

Absolute nonsense. He was great in Barcelona too. He just couldn't build what he wanted (even in 2014-2015) because of the little dictator. The president should have stood by him and told the dictator - either you obey the coach or you leave.

No coach after Pep could subdue Messi. Although Pep was lucky, because Leo in his era was young enough and was not "more than the club".

However, when Pep began to realize the fact that Leo was becoming "more than the club" he simply left.

No need to send me quotes now where Pep calls Leo the greatest player. I also consider him the greatest. But the late version of Leo is rather bad for a SYSTEM coach than good.

Lol. He was destroyed by Psg and Juventus in his last season. He didn't even bother with La Masia or youngsters. His transfers were mostly disaster.

Did Messi kill your family?

Great to see how far he has improved to be an elite coach since his Barca years (he was good but not really great).

You can clearly see Barca DNA in Lucho. He said it himself last year.

May consider a return to home :lucho:

Think he would have done way better with a decent squad, except MSN and Iniesta(who declined a lot) the team was average in 16/17

Psg and Juventus absolute destroyed him in 16/17 season. He certainly was not as good as he is now. Matter of experience, which is a good thing as it shows he didn't stop learning and improving.
