Plays LB and CB (mainly) for the best defense in club football and has gone through their academy. Fixture on one of the best backlines in last years WC (played mainly LB for France). Also should have chemistry with Umtiti and Lenglet, build on the french connection.

Reports is buyout is 85mil and Bayern swirling (assuming thinking of CB bc they have Alaba). Relative to De Ligt, he might be more prudent to pursue--more of a sure thing young player to immediately improve our CB play (add a lot more speed to it) whole also spelling/understudy for Alba and maybe taking over there down the line. I would think Barca has a natural advantage with those other young french players and less of a cultural change (vs Bayern). Leaving Atletico for Barca isn't like leaving them for Real. This move would also hurt right now our toughest league rival, and a common CL late elimination potential opponent.
