Name: Lorenzo Pellegrini

Nationality: Italy

DOB: 19 June 1996

Height: 1.86m

Position: Midfielder

Current Team: AS Roma

We've been linked to him recently and he had no thread so why not I guess. Also linked to Liverpool who apparently want him as a replacement for Wijnaldum. Contract runs out next summer. Don't know if Roma has an option to extend another year, but they've been negotiating an extension, but not agreed anything yet. Was in the Euro squad for Italy, but unfortunately got injured.

30 starts for Roma last season with 7 goals and 6 assists.

Your standard highlights vid with shitty music I guess.

Would be a viable squad option in normal circumstances.

I don't know if he will really add much though.

There's better and bigger options with contracts expiring next year. Shame we don't have the money to entice any.

Could be but think Juve's first target is probably Locatelli.

Get in Paulinho on a 1-year contract then see if Camavinga, Kessie, Kamara or even Pellegrini won't sign new contracts/be sold before January and start negotiating with them immediately when we can. I've not watched him much but Zakaria could be an option too. Another quite interesting player is Khephren Thuram but still inexperienced in comparision to others.

And if we'd have any money I'd really like Tchouameni but don't think Monaco would even consider selling for anything less than 50m which we clearly can't afford.

But anyway, just scout Ligue 1 extensively, there are more hidden gems there who could be available for relatively cheap.

There is worse options than that suggestion.

I am sensing that our finances are so screwed that Laporta can't even afford to do an Mbappe type deal (1 season loan + pay full transfer fee next year). But if they are not, then we should try and use that kind of deal for Kessie or even Pellegrini. I don't sense we could pull that off with Pogba or Camavinga purely because of agents and competition.

I don't think he makes a ton of sense. Our general problem is that if Busquets doesn't play our midfield immediately looks far too offensive. Pedri-Frenkie-Pellegrini doesn't look very good. Wijnaldum might have worked.

Locatelli makes more sense, but personally I don't really rate him (or believe his football will transfer kindly to Barcelona). We are caught between a rock and a hard place in midfield. Hope we just go with (unpopular opinion^^) Roberto or Pjanic and promote Nico.

Aouar hype has cooled down this past year. Lyon reportedly asking 25-30m.

He is the type of profile we are lacking. Unless Riqui Puig is giving proper opportunities.
