Change in Liverpool policy this season. Big money renewals of Salah and Van Dijk. Wage structure blown away.

Big money signings without big money sales.

Sounds all good, but if Slot flops, then it could go bad awfully quick.

Unless people suddenly expect him to win the Premier League at ease every season I don't see how he can possibly flop with the squad he will have. Not to say he's a better manager, but I think tactically he's far better than Klopp.

I think after spending 200m+ an early CL exit by 1/4 or before and outside top 2 would be disaster.

They have never gone this big in one summer to break the glass ceiling, even under Klopp.

Yeah, I think challenging for both is a minimum requirement. I think he's shown more than enough this season though to think that he's not going to suddenly fall off so hard. Also, Liverpool will recoup most of what they spend this summer through sales.

Kelleher 20-25 million
Gomez 15-20 million
Tsimikas 10-15 million
Elliott 20-25 million
Doak 10-15 million
Chiesa 10-15 million
Jota 30-40 million
Nunez 20-25 million

I expect most if not all of those to be sold.

They laughed at us spending money on Coutinho.
Lets see how this pans out.
No deal in history was or will be worse than Coutinho.

The money from that deal helped Liverpool get Van Dijk and Alisson, which won them the CL and the tie against us in the semis.

Coutinho was so shit for Barca, they sent him on loan where he helped Bayern to give Barca the biggest humiliation in CL history.

In the end we gave him away for a tenth of his original buy price.

Only giving Eto'o and money for Ibra comes close, where we did the exact same thing, our transfer dealings won Inter the CL and the tie agains Barca in the semis.

Twice in our history we gifted clubs a CL win that we should have won with our stupid transfers.

They happened to hit gold with that money but it has nothing to do with the overpayment we paid for Coutinho. 150mil for Wirtz is absurd, just like Coutinho.

If that's Klopp, then he looks drastically different, lost a lot of weight. I truly hope it's not a health issue, but weird ass workout or diet he's been on.
