Edwards himself wanted Brandt over Salah, the athletic had an article before that has confirmed it. It was unanimous decision.

He rejected Liverpool, only after that Edwards went for Salah and had to convince Klopp.

Which is pretty standard, Klopp isn't a scout.

It was your "Beckham going to Real moment"

Not to mention salah would be a nobody right now if he did not play under klopp for Liverpool

@Birdy Klopp and Edwards basically had an official Brandt vs Salah debate meeting back in the day.

This is fascinating. Klopp needed to be convinced about Salah. @Fati_Future_BallonDor @Horatio

Numerous data analysis procedures are used by the club for potential transfers. Edwards is a total genius.

9/11 in the 2019 team that won cL were signed through data analytics!

The triumph of the nerds some will say...
The triumph of sport science, I will say

What is this BS you are talking about?

Watch Graham interview. You think he is lying? Only Klopp wanted Brandt. The whole SD, based on analytics, were following the data

It isn't BS, even Edwards himself admitted it before.
They made Brandt an offer, Salah was only contacted after he turned it down.

Point is clubs like Brighton and Liverpool use it better than the others.

My mate made Brighton an absolute fortune when there with Potter and West Ham paid 1.5m to take him from Chelsea recently.

Fairly sure he is now on contract he will make a cut of players he recruits when they get sold on also.

Going to make himself a very rich man if goes well.

Interesting read, ex Liverpool data analyst Ian Graham ( his book: How to win the PL: the inside story of Football’s data revolution)

Can you give your mate a call and tell him two words.

Ansu Fati.

Thanks in advance.

Did Liverpool bottle the league in 2008-09?

(Contrary to popular belief, Arsenal was the team that led the table for most of the season, but Liverpool did top the table at last during Matchday 32 that lasting for about 4 matchdays until poor Stevie G slipped and there went the EPL so 2013-14 does not count as bottling the league)

So Liverpool barely bottled the Premier League, maybe we can say 2018-19 but a 7 point lead in January doesn't really matter if there were 4 months to go, I mean look at what happened to Real Madrid this year.

Congratulations to Liverpool and their fans though on the inevitable 20th league title though.
