Disasterclass first half apart from the goal (CR-esque) and masterclass in 2nd half. BBC with Lineker, Shearer, Rio and Zabaleta were full of praise after the game.

He is 35 and has been kicked relentlessly in a 1000 games and yet he can put in a performance like that in such a pressurised situation !!

Amazing

final nail in coffin that is Tempt&Rass

Mate you need to stop pretending they won the WC. They beat fuckin Australia. That's hardly a group stage level oppponent let alone knockout level.

This is the biggest issue with Messi's fanbase: Premature Ejaculation followed by bottlejobs and disappointments.

I guess you lot realise somewhere within that this might be your only opportunity to celebrate in this WC, so.....

What are you so triggered about? If you're actually based in the uk then here's an organisation that might be able to help https://www.samaritans.org/how-we-can-help/contact-samaritan/talk-us-phone/

"The relentless Messi fangirling by the BBC punditry team is getting excruciatingly obsequious. Getting worried one of them might have an "accident" in the studio. Calm yourselves, lads. He had a good game against an average side. See how he does against a good team."

REKT. This fanbase is so embarassing that it's unreal. The last few years they have been making the most basic things their boy does into something genius and carrying out a circlejerk. It's like an echo chamber of delusional hype. They can't cope with their idol's decline. Deep down they all know that their boy is way past his prime and doesn't stand out anymore. Going to France and becoming Qatar's new toy was just him lobbying for a couple of more corrupted and undeserved individual awards that the world laughs at.

This fanbase will never stop being comedy gold. Respect and good luck.

mate, there is really nothing strange that a big part of football fans support Messi in this world cup even with a good percentage of fanaticism.
Even more because the champion is now at sunset: it's something to do with the epic, with stories with happy endings, with the desire that all human beings have to feel a little similar to divinity.
On a psychic level this is much more normal than your constant petulant texts

Folk trying to set it up that Messi not winning the WC has him and anyone who supports him left with egg on their face when that isnt the reality.

Messi doing well at this WC will help with his legacy whether they win it or not.

No one expects Messi or Argentina to win it really.

On the other hand if Ronaldo continues to fail and make a cunt of him self on the pitch.. this WC and the Piers Morgan interview will be damage his.

Lineker's response:
Good to see you emerge briefly from deep inside the bowels of Ronaldo to express your opinion. 😂😂

I don't expect Argentina to win WC, either.

Kudos to Leo, he never gave in into the fabricated media rivalry with Cristiano. Messi speaks on the football pitch, not Piers Morgan.
