Lionel "The Greatest of All Time" Messi V2

The 3rd goal where he's about 25 yards from his own goal, makes a tackle to help win the ball.

The ball goes to his team mate, who passes it forward to Messi.

Messi doesn't touch the ball he just makes it run in front of him for a few seconds.

Then one touch, a perfect pass for the goal scorer to run clear 1v1.

Its the simple things, that are actually very difficult things, that he makes look simple, that makes him so good.

I wish I was 10% as good at anything as he is at football.

The best forward ever
The best A.M ever
Top 10 CM ever
The best player ever.

He is a complete force in the attacking 3rd of the field.

Only player I've seen come close to being a complete force in the attacking 3rd was dinho, he could also do everything when he was at the peak, Messi is that x10.

890+ goals but he isn't a striker, 400+ assists but he isn't a midfielder

The most complete footballer of all time.

I wonder if Messi v Ronaldo will even be a debate when both retire, everything is settled and some time goes by

Because future generations will look back and ask "what is it that Cristiano has over Messi"? And they will come to the conclusion, practically nothing. Without any bias and clouded judgement

Cristiano will probably be ever present in media, football and celebrity business until his 80s just so people don't forget him and he can keep talking about how good he was. While Messi will just take care of his family and disappear from the world, appear only sometimes in interviews and big sport occasions

He has a legit chance at another WC.

Will have to get through France and Spain to get there. Maybe even England and Portugal too.
Nah dawg, CR7 meeting with Donald Trump and Gianni Infantino the other day means that it is all set up for Portugal to win the WC26 and want their poster boy to win the WC.

Messi always has to fight against the system and corruption every single time.

Definitely the best forward, AM and of course player. Not top 10 CM ever though.

That debate ended in 2009 already. After that was Messi vs Real Madrid and Perez.

I'm quite skeptical about Argentina's chance of defending their tittle. Even if Messi is still at top form in WC, the team isn't the same from 2022. And other factors like luck, injury...

As much as love Messi about the hardest watch for style of football was the Messi/Suarez standing up top together not pressing and coming to life to play for one another when team had ball.
