Lionel Messi - v7

Messi loves the club and loves football, he will be as motivated as ever. We don't know if Messi really wants to leave or not, all we have is paper talk which you have to take with a pinch of salt.

You choose to be blissful in your disregard of what is happening right now. Messi clearly wants to leave: he hands in a transfer request, sends a fax where he expresses his intentions to leave, is silent in the press for 19 days, fucking Jorge Messi comes from Argentina to Barcelona to meet with Bartomeu and you still think "we don't know if Messi really wants to leave"? That is ridiculous. What do you think he is doing then? Just shenanigans to get a better contract? No chance. Barto is actually trying to renew him like the clown he is and failing miserably.

Won't even talk about "he will be motivated as ever", that actually sounds like a troll post. I can't believe you are this delusional.

Love Messi and thankful for all the joy he brought me over the years watching him play, but I was hoping that Barca could sell him and start the rebuild that is desperately needed.

in the game of football it is not how much you run but how you run.
Really what you say does not make sense and in fact it is not a topic of any serious football critic.

unfortunate that there is really someone here who would be happy if Messi go away,
and who judge without knowing how things really are

It's both. And Messi is terrible at both the quantity of his runs and the quality of them.

He's a supremely talented old player who can barely move properly and wants others to do his job for him, so he can move where he wants, when he wants, doing his little "magician" stuff. Stuff that doesn't work except against La Liga cannon fodder anymore, because he is too slow, too lazy, and too erratic to impact the biggest games at this stage of his career.

That's Messi in near 2021.

We could talk hours about the stuff he does wrong in terms of movement. Nearly all types of movements that are in the modern forward's bag of tricks, really important stuff, Messi doesn't execute properly. And needs others to work twice as hard to somehow compensate for it on team level (often with little success).

Everton are completing the signing of James Rodriguez for 25m. 1 year left on his contract.

Let's get past this clause talk and get to business.

Messi was spotted at 13:21pm crapping the pizza he ate yesterday partly digested as he is having stressful time to decide his future

This is going to be one shitty season. I can't see how this is good for the club at all. We all know he's the best player in the world, but it won't take much to upset him. If we lose a few games and do badly in the Champions League, he'll no doubt sulk on the pitch. Can't see him and koeman getting on at all.

How do we win with keeping an unhappy Messi for another year?

The only person who wins from this is Bartomeu.

You pretty much do nothing, it?s an easy situation. Messi is professional and is a kid that likes to play football. Just give him the ball
