In the real world Messi has won the ballon d'or in 2019 playing exactly the same as this year with better numbers.

He was a lot more consistent and much better in big/important games last season, then again last season was one of his best.

It?s not functional but the system plays for him. Everyone tries to please him by passing it to him in every situation. It?s natural that 80-90% of our goals will come directly from his participation. There is no ?attacking? gameplan without Messi slowing down the play and having touches in every attack.
