Ligue 1

This guy can't stop scoring

Panichelli is the 4th top scorer amongst the top 5 European Leagues

And again last night.

PSG are in shite form domestically, relative to the league level especially.

Bit of an injury crisis like us, and sitting top, but for a bit of perspective with less points than us after 10 games.

If the Strasbourgs, Marseille's and Lens didn't have the mental fortitude of a wet fart, PSG would be sitting in 4th right now.

We're not in shit form, the competition is hard.

Not that it matters in the long run, but PSG lost today and could be overtaken by both Marseille and Lens this weekend.

Maybe it does matter

If they can hold on for a little bit more and actually give PSG some competition in the league during key UCL months, that would be nice

Last season they had it wrapped up in February. After that had only CL games to focus on

Marseille should be 5 or so points ahead of PSG.

The team has been in that Arsenal phase of mentally letting themselves down at key moments. And it is not just this season but lasts too.

PSG just do not look good domestically. And like Madrid have been bailing themselves out with late goals and opportune opposition reds.

I don't think Lens have the depth of quality to maintain a challenge so it will be up to Marseille to get over there jitters if PSG continue to be unflattering.

Saying that, it seems it's an almost decadely occupance that an unfancied Lens win Ligue1.

And with this post I reveal that I watch more Ligue1 than I line to admit. Mostly because Tebass has turned most of LaLiga into an utter tosspot.

Randomly clicked on Monaco-Brests (o!o) and thought to myself - how many french players are there in the league? 10%? 5%? 1%? Because even if they're not black as caoutchouc, they are at least various degree of swarthy with exotic names, obviously non natives.
How would they even fish out the next Platini or Giresse in this gangsta evironment?

Not really. Spain NT would actually be the worst example of this as most players there are spanish, racially spanish. Likes of England and France and even Germany recently rely more on foreign race players than Spain and Portugal, who would have better grounds to justify it.

Best player looks like a foreign invader. That guy Samuel Agehowa too— what is Spain doing, trying to return to Al-Andalus?

The fact is that there never be black Xavi or Iniesta or Messi. It's impossible.
The same as there will never be Platini or Giresse for curent France. Griezman is closest contender, bur way off.
All these big clubs and NTs rely now is big physical negro guys, who also can kick the ball more or less sufficiently.
