Strasbourg are in that Girona position of a couple season back where the Chelsea investment and develop strategy has given them a way better team than the had any right to have.

And that for this season atleast look very competitive with a real chance of CL football.

But it's a question if they can really grow that team, or if they will have up and down cycles as the good talents get spun back to Chelsea and/or played around for FFP.

@MonteCuler is also on the money that Doue (the rightback) has that physical fullback profile that we sorely miss.

Sidenote: Kounde is developed well physically, but it's not really functional muscle mass for football.

Sidenote: Kounde is developed well physically, but it's not really functional muscle mass for football.

I am more interested in the crossing part, or to be more precise the playmaking one.

We have zero playmaking fullback tbh, we have a big one (Martin) , athletic runner (Balde) and defensive RB (Kounde) but no playmaking one. We used to have the likes of Roberto, Alba (older version) Alves, Zambrotta, Gio.

If Doue sr has that ability, I would be happy to have a guy like him. The physical part will be bonus.

PSG are like a rugby team that can rotate near enough every week to keep players fresh as very little chance have any competition in league.

Even before Barca Vitinha moment he feels slightest thing is off and fresh for next game.

Kounde isnt even a great defensive RB.

He is done 1v1 far too often and a step slow to realise danger.

Nah the team v Barca had the full backs and Vitinha.

If you are Barca and could pick two players for PSG to have it would be those full backs ahead of anything else.
