What do you mean by them not taking enough risks?

I mean exactly that, their attacks are carried with few people, but they are dangerous because they have the men to deliver quality service to those few targets, like Carvajal, Modric and Kroos. To me, they look a lot like Atletico now, but with better players and less defensive discipline. The approach is somewhat similar. No wonder they played like a copy of each other in the CL final.

Don't you think they played us on Camp Nou the same way Atletico would've done it? Zidane has the italian-football school of thought, much like Simeone. No wonder they both played a lot in Serie A. That's the impression they give me.

Sometimes it makes you wonder if La Liga is really really weak, Barca trashing Real Betis like if they were from the second division lol.

Might have to watch only the interesting matches like away from home against decent teams.

The problem with La Liga is that it is rather lop-sided with the top two (and increasingly top three) being too strong that they are almost in their own league. But then again, that is probably the same issue with many other leagues, it is just that it is more evident in La Liga, the gap between the top three and the rest of the teams is the widest thanks to us and Real Madrid.

I think I know what you are you getting at, if I understood you correctly. And this is what makes them one of the best, in my opinion.

I still dont rate Madrid. They just rely on individual qualities to carry them. There is little to no thought behind their play.
Their whole game is mediocre attacks, crosses and set pieces. Feel we should manita them at 100%. Their lucky cl gift route hides how mediocre they are. They win many games in la liga because their style and players can carry them and the difference in quality is still big enough.
For example, mou's or Ancelotti's Real was much better than Real since then till now.
They are still top 5 arguably in Europe with Atletico and Dortmund, better than the English teams and everyone else but Bayern, Juve and us. So still good but im convinced we will win la liga again.

i would not say that la liga is weak, just that barca and real are to strong for anybody, you think they would have harder problems in EPL? dont think so, but i agree, this is boring
they would have to play against chelsea, united, and city.. Those are good teams, the only team Madrid and Barca have to worry about is Atletico who might be stronger than both of those three teams but at least there would be more excitement in the EPL.

Yeah, we've seen how impressive these almighty English teams have been in Europe compared to their Spanish counterpart...

Yes that has been the case in the past, but lets concentrate on the future.. A league that had Madrid, Barca, Liverpool, United, City would be far more interesting than a league of Atletico, Barca, and Madrid.

What teams are you comparing?

Sevilla done very well in Europa which up to now has not been taken seriously by English sides by and large. Bar Liverpool last year who they deservedly beat. Liverpool nowhere near a top English team though.

Flipside is you cant drop points. You need 90+ points to win it. A bad spell and you are done as we saw in mou's last year or last year with Benitez. Or even us in the end.

I wouldnt consider Liverpool nowadays less than any other epl team. They are all sevilla level. There is no elite team yet at the moment.

Asensio, Carvajal, Morata, Varane, Kovačić, Casemiro.. All under 24.

Madrid invested wisely in youth, glad Barca made changes in their transfer policy too.

Atlético Madrid dominating but will go 0-0 in 2nd half vs. Alaves.

Gameiro plays well as CF.
