Defense was shambles. Undone so many times by that weak Girona.

Of course they regress they are missing half the team and another year full of injuries. Hard to be cohesive if you never have the same players in training.

No Inigo Martinez either sadly

The signs of regression were there even when we had a full squad.

Still early days but there are glaring gaps that weren't addressed from last season i.e. defence that are more evident this year.

Last year the offside trap got figured out way before Christmas and after that we simply won by scoring shit load of goals despite playing horrible defence in many occasions. Right now the biggest problem on top of injuries is that we aren't converting our chances into goals. Maybe we are a bit unlucky in that area.

There is nothing we can do to fix this other than just score a shit ton of goals and hope it will be enough. Getting Joan Garcia back will help.

Second worst game of the season. Right up there with Seville. Only difference today is Girona couldn't put their chances away. Think they had close to 7 corners.

Not quite correct. Several wins were achieved in close games even last season. No matter the season, it always happens, you'll always win points in edgy games, and those are extremely valuable.

This. Our Defence is too shaky and fragile. Too many spaces and gaps between the lines and everywhere in general.

The offside trap will always be vulnerable when Pedri and Kounde lose the ball like they did in todays game and Kounde has been doing near enough every game.

It allows for little chance to pressure and straight on top of a defence not ready for it.

Thing that pisses me off is when there is 3/4 defenders trying to plauy offside and all it takes is one run to take them out the game.

Too many defending v that many attackers.

Pedri genius goal then fucking Witsel scores a bicycle kick, Girona randomly creates 4-5 great chances, literal monsoon at half time, second half chance every minute for 1 of the teams, Flick gets a red and then Barça CB comes on as striker and wins the game in stoppage time

This season all spectacular games. Either in terms of drama or team play. When it's drama the neutrals are more satisfied, but honestly I like it once a while too. And when huge drama ends in favour of the team it can boost morale
