The result is expected - Real Madrid have improved their squad a lot since last season while the Barca team has become worse. And worse not just in terms of squad quality, but also in terms of mindset. Attitudes of these players are rotten.

I've seen talk around this forum of Barca having one of the best squads in Europe - not sure people who say that are serious. :ROFLMAO:

Barca's entire defensive line is basically a bunch of mid-table level players who are average to poor defensively. There isn't a single decent defender in this team. The only defensively sound player (who wasn't world class) was let go on a free this summer.

This club needs to sign players and the current crop of of players need to get their attitudes in check.

The team needs at least two new fullbacks, a CB and a ST....not happening, i know, but the team will continue to regress unless these signing are made.

I don't know the rules anymore, they are changing shit all the time, but this does seem like a clear foul which should have been called. They are in contest for the ball and he hits him with a fucking elbow. How and why is that not called, I don"t understand.

Peak performance by Sato and VAR team early on. That being said, the positive being team bouncing back from another brutal blunder from Guler. Last season, it would completely deflate the team.

Also, Yamal lol. That tough guy act was absolutely hilarious to watch.

It's okay, I expected worse to be honest. This result and game isn't flattering for Alonso, it looked like Ancelotti 2.0. Playing with 6 players backline, defending 2-1 at home like Getafe against the weakest Barca under Flick with half the team injured, or half fit.

The most important part for Flick is to get the team back on its feet, physically. Injuries must end, players must get fit again. Everything else is secondary. The most unimportant clasico of the season, all other will be much more important. Flick has roughly 2 months to get the team healthy and back in form.

Result is highly flattering for Barca. Should tell you everything.

I would have gone for the jugular, but hey i get Alonso. You have a lead, no need for blietzkrieg, be pragmatic. 3 points, massive morale boost.

p.s: As for injuries. Nowhere near what Madrid was going through last season(s). This team would comfortably beat Carlo’s Madrid from last season.

Real fans keep going on injuries last season.

Barca had it also.

As I've said before game, it will be decided by how well Madrid finish. And their finishing was very poor tonight. Should've ended 5-1 easily.

Madrid didn't win by more because they are not that good.

If Kounde finishes that huge chance we end up with a point with both our main forwards out.

Was a low quality Clasico. If Madrid play like that vs Liverpool and City, they will get zero points.

Also, had Fermin passed the ball. Yeah, I agree, we weren't that worse than Madrid. Also agree that it wasn't really a good match. 5 points is also exaggerated as we all know how many times team from the capital has been favored.
