Why put Busi on man Xavi cannot get past his old teammates. Once alba, Pique,Busi, Roberto are gone this team will improve drastically

Turned the game off as soon as Busi was on. Not watching one minute more of that leech playing for this club.

Villareal gave us lots of space and didn't muster any meaningful attack. Everyone looked good in this game. Can't draw any conclusions.

There was a lot of space largely because De Jong created it by driving the ball in midfield, which gave more room for Gavi and Pedri to operate. Could have been much more static with Busi playing.

Even Ferran looked good mate. Frenkie didn't do that.

Agree.
His runs with the ball opened up tons of spaces for others.
The downside is that he left his position because of these runs, and Villareal had several 2v2 or 3v3 situations on the break

I think the 2v2 or 3v3 situations are dangerous for Barca because of the composition of their defense. Only Kounde is a top tier defender. Alonso and Roberto are pretty bad. Replace those 2 with Araujo and Christensen, or a good RB signing, and I think the team would be okay with FDJ taking those risks.

True, but the compensation for this is that one of the midfielders will drop to cover this space while the centrebacks will have to be quick to anticipate and cut out breaks. Something that worked well in transitions in the old days with Pique-Puyol and what we should have with Kounderaujo.

On the flipside, Busquets is leaving the position without these runs and without the ball.

True, if both CBs are proactive and fast they can cut out/play offside those balls that would end up in 2v2 or 3v3s

Good game but why give Pique and Busquets those minutes instead of giving them to Torre (half a year without a single full game) and Kessie?
