Sure, probably. Hence false equivalency and it is nothing like EV season 1. If this were the 17/18 squad and we played like we do now, you could make this argument. Here, you're simply wrong bro.

It's not exactly LIKE the EV first season, sure, but it's similar. If you remember I did tell you Zidane will come and re-motivate these players.

We need the same with Setien btw. To re-motivate these older players and make them realize that the fun times and slacking off is no longer accepted. It's always better to bring back older players, and have them focused and training well again than losing them.

It isn't similar. I showed you why it isn't, not in how we score, who scores or how we defend. Everything is different between these two sides, from the wealth of chances to the fluidity of transition. The only thing that is similar is the decrease in goals conceded from one season to the next, which for us came for a completely different reason to how EV chose to fix you lot.

Nor was Zidane's aim to come and remotivate people. He came to change things provided he can make the changes Perez refused to give him after 17/18. He introduced at least 5 new players into the squad, 2 of them into the starting lineup, the others on constant rotation basis. You don't simply 'remotivate' oldies to produce club's best defensive record in the history of the competition at this point of the season.

You can try your best to look for parallels. The only one you have is the defensive improvement. The rest is nowhere close mate. Sorry.

Lol, you think that if Mendy and Valverde don't play your defense will crumble? It has way more to do than just integrating a few new players. Re-motivating the older players is key to this Madrid. Benzema hasn't played like this in ages.

Madrid have more chance of dropping points away at relegation fodder than against Atletico at home lol

They still lost 2 points vs them. We're likely to drop 0 since we always beat them on Camp Nou. If we lose this title it will be because we wasted points vs low level teams away.

We haven't beaten Atleti at home in the league for some 5, l6 years.

Also serghei you should really stop arguing a point you don't really believe for the sake of trolling. It's been well documented in this forum both of these players are key to us not conceding. Stats on RM performance with and without them have been posted several times. Stop playing a fool.

Didn’t know that, I meant this current version of Atleti though.

Pep for Real Madrid is like Moses for Egyptian Empire. They despise and scared of him million miles away. He will demolish them like good old days in Spain.

... Pep literally got demolished by RM 5-0 in 2014 CL semis.

Pep with Messi, Xavi, Iniesta and Pep without is another story in the CL.
