Defenses were much better and physical during Ronaldo's prime.Not a coping mechanism at all, i don t care about Mbappe, i just don t think he is on par talent wise with the greatest players ever,like he is compared too.Fati?Another overated player.Great finishing, but that s about it.Maybe i am too pretentious, but i really saw much better prospects than Mbappe and Fati.

That's the point here mate. Defenders, whoever they were Maldini, Baresi or others, were allowed to do more to stop attackers hence less goals. Refs more lenient as would come under less scrutiny from journalists and fans who didn't have access to photographic evidence of their mistakes.
