That's a lot for a player that's decent, but not great. Even if it's on free transfer.

For comparison Inigo's salary is 9m gross per year. Signing bonus unknown, but I cannot imagine it was close to 15m.

The whole reason people want to go for Tah is this.
If he's going to cost 15m in bonus and have high wages, I would rather we go for a free player.

Free signings will now always have huge sign on bonuses. But the sign on bonuses well still be roughly half of the transfer fee.

So it's a win-win for player and club.

Plus FFP doesn't count a sign on bonus the same as a transfer fee (check Mbaguette), so another W.
