It's because we already have a better backup striker in Ferran.
What we need now or next year is a new starter and a different profile anyway. Quick, bigger and more physical.

I really don't see it with him, I think he would be next Depay if he joins.

should sign him. There is not much risk. Get him on a relatively low wage (since he would love to play for barca) and see how he develops. Use him as a rotation player. If he's not happy or good enough, we could still sell him for some well-needed cash.
