Well, Koeman was in an open war with the press and Laporta. Koeman used it to defend himself. The mental pressure he must have felt must have been immense and unhealthy. Koeman is not a bad person. I'm sure he really loves the club, but that's what people naturally do when you lock them in stalemate.

Not gonna defend him and say it was the right thing to do it so openly, but in the end he was talking straight facts about player's quality.
