So we were back to 1:1 according to Laporta 2 months ago. Now we sold Roque but nothing changed except according to some quotes we will be able to renew Inigo and Lamine.

Laporta needs to find new investors/sponsors and renegotiate some existing ones.

We play best football and have the best rising star in football. Where is the money? Get off your fat ass

The money will be spent on signing baby Neymar
Don't worry

Signing Isak is sheer populism at this point. We barely survived the LFP deadlines due to an arbitrary decision, now dreaming of a potential 100m+ transfer.

Discontinue the lithium.

Laporta L, especially when even the players are pushing hard for it.

Barcelona have been in an ongoing battle with their loudest fans for several months at this point, but there is no end in sight to their dispute. That is despite some of their stars offering to resolve the issue.

The Blaugrana have demanded that the singing section, transferred from Camp Nou to Montjuic, pay the €21k in fines that they have been handed as a result of insults and chants last season. Something that the singing section has rejected to do, claiming that the individuals should instead be punished, and not the fans as a collective.

As a result Barcelona decided to ban the fans in the singing section from attending games until they do so, and have announced that they are planning reforms to the singing section. Insitutional Vice-President Elena Fort has said that they want ‘a different kind’ of singing section, with more access and younger fans.

They have not given any details on how that will be decided, but they have not budged on restoring the singing section at Montjuic. According to Cadena SER, several Barcelona players have offered to mediate between the club and the fans, and Vice-Captain Raphinha has even personally offered to pay the €21k fine in order to resolve the matter. This is an offer the club have rejected, despite chants every game for the singing section to come back. They say the issue goes beyond just the money itself.

While the club say they want a different form of singing section, many believe the issue stems back to last season, when chants of ‘Barca yes, Laporta no’ were heard at the Estadi Olimpic Lluis Companys. From that point on, the club have appeared to take a much harder line on the singing section. Ultimately, it seems Barcelona and the players will lose out on valuable support in a season where the team is threatening success in all three major competitions.

The only problem is that they chanted against Laporta, everything else is bullshit, the fines are totally normal in football, we even have one of the less hostile and one of the smallest fan groups, almost all other clubs have bigger and more firery and their clubs pay the fines if they get them becaue they want to have fans. The fat fuck is in a fight agains good atmosphere for 20+ years and he suceeded, we have the worst atmosphere in Europe and it will be similar in CN.

When I read it I assumed the club imposed those fines on the fans themselves, not UEFA or Liga etc. I could be wrong though.

Wouldn't be the first time club has been fined for chants, iirc it's never been an issue before and the club paid for it, not the fans, hence my assumption above.

It's not about the money. Laporta doesn't care about 21k. It's about the principle that the club has to pay for the behaviour of the fans. If something is not allowed, people must respect it or leave. I understand it completely, that the club doesn't allow the players to solve this by paying the fine, because the next game it'll only repeat itself. Only when it hurts them, then they will change their behaviour.

I have a good example of my own hometowm club Hannover 96, playing in the second Bundesliga. The club also had to pay fines over the years for their singing section. Flares, crosshair displays of hated individuals or insults. At some point, the club had enough and simply raised the ticket price of the singing section, which is the same thing Laporta does now, forcing them to pay for their own behaviour or stay away from the games.

It's not too much to ask from the Ultras to not behave like apes and receive unnecessary fines. If they still do it, then pay up or fuck off. If you can't support your club without breaking the rules, you're not a wanted supporter in the first place.

Atmosphere at FCB Femeni games in front of 3-5k fans (depend on the opponent) at the Estadi Johan Cruyff is much better than I've ever seen in two years at Montjuic.

It's part of football for it's entire history, rather go to theatre if some chants are hurting your feelings.

I didn't see flares or any violence at Barca's matches for decades, the fines are for chanting, another case of blocking freedom of speech in today's woke pussy world. We have by far the most mild and the smallest fan groups, they are far from some hooligans. It's about insults to Laporta, it was with Boixos Nois 20 years ago and it's now.

Pretty sure Barca already paid to LL/UEFA but want the fans now to return that money to "learn their lesson". And so Laporta can have his dinner.

It's not like higher football instances would let the club get away not paying fines because other clubs could then easily start to ignore fines as well and say fans are responsible for insulting chants (which they are).

Barca don't even have Ultras. Sure, they might considered themselves as ones but they are mostly choir boys compared to likes of Greek, Turkish or Polish ultras that are not only passionate about their clubs (which is good) but go over the board most of the times. Won't even talk about South Americans who are even more crazy.

But as @TheStig said this is more about Laporta being butthurt because part of the fan base is/was against him than anything else.

At the end of the day, he is getting the job done and bringing Barca back!

He made mistakes, sure, in a very difficult situation.

But the most important thing is that he's a true leader and that has shone through. He made a lot of tough decisions and they are paying off.

With every season since his arrival we kept getting better, that is the important thing. Only 23/24 is an exception but we learnt a lot from there and sacked our coach, now we are best in Europe again.
