Todibo is only going to get better with playing time. He is seriously strong in one-on-ones and has great acceleration. Positioning needs work but that will come with playing time as he has his head in the game (unlike a Mina).

I still think a loan would be the best option as realistically, how much playing time will Valverde give him ahead of Pique, Umtiti and Lenglet?

It is a shame we don't have an experienced 4th CB option at a respectable price and have Todibo spend a year in LaLiga or a club like Watford who were interested.

BTW, how did Valencia manage to extract 12m from Sampdoria for Murillo. We would have sold him for a few million had we owned him.

So who do you want Valverde to bench for this new boy toy, just to remind you this is friendlies and you people already hyping him so much that will blame AGAIN Valverde if he failed to be something special

He doesnt have to bench anybody, but how about giving him a go against the smaller clubs or subing him in when a game is 3-0 done and dusted? Hell last season the league was over and he STILL didnt field the likes of Malcom, Todibo etc.

lol where is that de Ligt fanboy who said that Todibo wont even sit on the Ajax bench?

Great to see that he had a good game. He's still raw but he's showing some very good signs. Valverde needs to grow some balls and play him in La Liga matches and not just some useless friendlies.

That's the beauty of the CB market these days. Just because De Ligt had more exposure and cost around 75 Million, doesn't make him the only possible elite CB talent out there.

I would like to see him playing CDM again, i think he could do wonders there. A midfield of todibo, de Jong and some third, more offensive midfielder would be fantastic
