Don't bother with the likes of Devils. He is probably the worst troll in this forum. Actually many people in this forum are pure poison. Rakitic gave a lot to this club during the last 5 years and he is getting a much worse treatment than even lazy Arda Turan got. Just ignore idiots and let them talk bullshit. Camp Nou showed what true fans think about Rakitic when he came on against Valencia and that's much more important than couple of clowns in this forum.

Nothing against him on personal level-on the contrary, I heard he graciously helped some clubs and persons, only good I hear about man...
But, IMO, he's just not Barca type of MF: our type is short, fast, agile dribbler, technical wizard passer. Rakitić is just not enough... well, you'll understand the word: "pokretljiv".
Xavi wasn't as well, but he was passing genious.

I am not blind, Rakitić in current form is a bench player. But the problem is with to many "bench" players in our starting 11.

Worst signing? Well, that's too much, he certainly not worst signing. He is very good player and has many good sides. I just think he always was a little below Barca level. Or it's just hard to succeed bossess like Xavi & Iniesta, contrast just pokes eyes...

I feel like his ego slowly started to swell up during Lucho's final season and truly got huge under Valverde as he played 99% of the time.
Players have egos but what didn't help was Valverde gave him pretty much a free pass even if he wasn't performing well it was the same with Busi, they became further untouchable leading them to believe there's no way they will ride the bench even if we spent big bucks on someone like FDJ.

Us trying to replace him with Gomes didn’t help, probably bought Rakitic a season or two extra than he should have had here, would take Rakitic over Gomes any day though lol

Yeah Lucho, clearly wanted to make him a starter and even benched Rakitic for a short time for it but as you can see he just wasn't good enough for it.
This season though with FDJ and Arthur exploding on to the scene, Rakitic doesn't appear to have really any use for us bar a sub-option if needed now. Completely different from the last couple of years where he was untouchable.
