Rakitic was treated unfairly by Barca fans tbh.
That being said, his time was up in 2020.
Before it he was doing his best in a team that just didn't fit together, very unbalanced and badly built, and he was asked to accommodate for Messi's tactical shortcomings.
He could have done better if the team was built better, and we could have done better too if we had other players who fit the rest of the team better.

Ivan Rakitic has revealed that the Sevilla anthem was sung in the FC Barcelona dressing room and that Leo Messi himself also sang it. In a light-hearted interview on club television, the Croatian midfielder assured that the famous anthem of El Arrebato was often present.

Not surprised, Sevilla anthem is the best football anthem imo. Always get goosebumps when I see this.
