Inigo Martínez

We shouldn't buy some average CBs, we have those already. We need a long term partner for Cubarsi. I think someone strong, fast and tall because Cubarsi isn't that. So basically Araujo from a few seasons ago with better technique and more calm under pressure. Hope Araujo becomes that.

I haven't followed this saga, but I am sad that he is leaving.

He was awesome last season and seemed like a good, passionate leader.

We have probably sold him due to financial reasons and the age.
But still, I don't rate Araujo too highly.
He has a way lower IQ than Inigo and is more prone to brainfarts.

The team was a perfectly oiled machine in the last season.
Don't fix what ain't broken.

But let's see what the coach has on his mind for this season.

We have not sold him. He left because of money.

We'll probably never know what the real reason was behind him leaving. Sad to see him leave too.

Could have had a far better career if it wasn't for injuries. Him making one last money move is just understandable.

He'll definitely be missed. Think he was the orchestrator of that high back line and offside trap. Although not the fastest player, most of the time was at the right spot.

Reading farewell messages of his teammates, many of them saw him as leader and some call him even captain. Hard to replace his leadership qualities that have been missing quite some time now with Puyi and Mascherano being the last.

One could see he did everything in his power to get this one big title to honour his career. I will never forget his fighting spirit and that pic from the bus parade will be the lasting impression of him.

Thank you.

He's earned the right to leave and choose his path at this stage in his career. But why did we let him leave for FREE and without signing a replacement?

That's the part that makes no sense to me.

This does nothing but make the team significantly weaker defensively and defence is the key area that needed to be addressed this summer.

Barca being blindsighted, yet again, is the worst part.

Flick is fuming inside 100%.

His reaction when Cuba got a knock now makes more sense. Everyone already knew that Inigo was leaving then, and if Cuba had a ingury that means Araujo & Christensen for the beginning of the season.
Ya I would be having my hands on my head contemplating life.

Which raises another issue. If everyone did know earlier than leaked, Deco and co. are even more foolish than I thought.
Not to mention the clause was there and they had to know about it.
