Before the usual suspects insult the club again prematurely, he had a clause:

His departure frees up €14 million in Fair Play.
His contract included a clause allowing him to leave for free if an offer came from abroad—and that’s now the case. He was already tempted last year to move to Saudi Arabia. This time, he’s accepted.

Don't see the big deal, months ago they were talking about getting rid of one cb. Inigo is 34 and was already struggling sometimes against fast players. Club must have planned this already since Flick played Martin as a cb already. I trust Christensen Martin and Flick.

A player who acknowledges that he can no longer keep up with the level required to play for this club, be it age or other factors, and leaves before he becomes a problem. I take my hat off to you, Inigo. Good luck!

Still, we need a new CB, someone who is better than Inigo was.

If not now, then in the winter market.

Without Inigo it's down to Araujo and Christensen. Horrible to depend on these players. Both injury prone, one could be out for the season at any point, and one is also a master at fucking up at the worst times, on top of being the worst passer out of any CB at any top team.

Does Kounde still favor playing CB over RB?
