This is what depth means. We had Ansu Fati to share minutes with Raphinha, City have Savinho.

We ask from a player to play from 15 to 20 more games in a season than other wingers from some of EPL top 5 teams, under more pressure, and we expect everything to go swiftly.

And then we wonder why he gets more injured in the next season, or why the team looks tired.

Also Raphinha missed games this season through injury.. which is in itself forced rest.

Also a big difference playing intensity of likes of EPL and minutes v La Liga fodder where can cruise a lot more often.

Salah played 4500 minutes for Liverpool in much tougher league. Its not as unusual as you make out.

Of course, I'm not outraged by this performance. It is not that surprising to me our level dropped compared to last season. It is logical for more players to have injuries this season, to have a drop in fitness and to look overall more tired and slower.

It's the cost of a very thin squad, and lack of funds to sign players who could actually challenge the starters and share the load with them. Imagine how bad things are if these days we value a lazy bum like Rashford.

I really want to see Olmo start at CAM next game.

Ferran start at CF because he can at least run even if he's also useless.

Cancelo start at RB which won't happen because both our starting FBs happen to be shit and manage to get injured at the same time. Hopefully Eric Garcia is back though.
