He should have started with Rashford as striker instead of Ferran. Rashford is much better than Ferran from all points of view. That would have made the difference.
I would never start Ferran again, unless he is the last option.

I never saw in my life a weaker team of Barca like this one. This game could have been very easily won at 4-5 goals difference but we lost, all playing so bad. I cannot mention one worse than the other except Bernal. So so frustrating that we controlled the entire game but not able to score more. I never criticized Flick, but this game he lost it. Why? He should have give clear indications how to play. Out team did not have any idea, just haotically atack. So frustrated with Flick.I hoped that he will address this erratic game at half. It did not happen. Disappointed by Lamine, Raphinia, Fermin, Torres, Martin….etc. I would not keep Balde and Gerard Merton in this team even playing for free. These players are NOT professional. It’s loughable when you see Martin playing in one foot. This team is the weakest Barca team from what I recall in my life. Pedri made a bad game too.
I would hoped , being rested, to make a difference in the last 10 min. Hope for nothing…. Not sure why Barca want to keep this guy for $30m either. Completely bad management.
I am too much disappointed so stop here.
Bro?

I have to say thanks to this man, he made any elimination in any cup competition respectable. With this man, we turned capitulations and humiliations to wins and close fights. Thanks to him, we almost came back in this game and our players did their all, I have to say Imo this was the best performance of the season, with many players injured and we still managed to be 1 goal away from taking it to extra time. I have full belief that no matter what, this team under this man will always be able to fight for all trophies even with the worst squad depth out of all the big teams, hopefully the board realises that and signs the players that he needs so we can return to the days of fighting for trebles. Anyways this game surely will be the spark to help us through the rest of the season in LaLiga and most importantly the Champions League.

Visca el Barça, Visca Catalunya i Visca Hansi Flick!!!!

Hopefully he stays for many more years, but in any case I hope the next manager keeps his blueprint and builds on it.

If we keep his principles and not regress back into positional traficconeball, this club will continue to stand among Europe's elite.

No need to get emotional over cup exit.
This was already over after first leg.

He pulls the absolute maximum out of these players. There is not a single coach in the world capable to achieve more or play a better football with this team, I'm sure of it. Even Pep would despair with the likes of Ferran, Balde, Martin. And if that's not enough, the constant injuries of our few good-mid players destroy the rest of hope.

Laporta needs to do everything possible to keep him at least another season here. We will be missing him the same as Guardiola, I guarantee you.

I know people will argue that, but to me, if Flick would have been more realistic in starting Rashford as striker from very beginning we might have a better chance with him. I believe, Flick might be pushed / influenced by Pedri, Lamine, maybe Raphinia to start Ferran instead as they are good friends with him. That’s my only logical explanation.

Good that he's taking responsibility for that

We've seen a lot of injuries this season especially with youth team players because we force them to adapt the first team physical conditioning

It may have done permanent damage to landry and diarra

Landry and Diarra have barely been anywhere near the first team.

If anything the ones that have been with first team have been injured less overall.

Nothing to do with training with the first team, he's had the youth team adapt the first team physical conditioning & training.

That's literally been reported every where months now.

Flick asked for that?

There is nothing to suggest that has contributed to injuries to those players.

Players get injured. Two players in youth/Atletic side is not really evidence of much going wrong.

Players in first team are relevant as they would be working closer with Flick and medical ideas if anything.

RAC points fingers at Julio Tous, head of conditioning, saying players are unhappy with his methods. Fabricated story based on Flick's comments that talks will be held with the fitness and medical staff.

Flick brought Tous as the much needed expert to implement this high intensity football. Nobody knows how to deal with this really and nobody should be at fault here. This approach is what makes Barca exciting again and it was underlined even when Xavi was the manager. Higher intensity, due to the lack of quality.

One solution to manage muscle injuries is to hire private fitness coaches. I know that Lewandowski takes care of his body and Pedri has personal coach. But if this really works, it's hard to prove.
