Imagine the record if we had any money to spend.

We don't even need to spend a lot.
Get a good starting LCB and fullback backups that Flick likes.
No 100m+ striker in the market anyway. Get someone competent enough. Flick will guarantee he will get 15+ goals.
80-100m this summer would solve a lot of our problems.
Senesi + Schlotterbeck, around 40m, gives us atleast 5 years of quality depth in CB/LCB. Ideal for FlickBall.
Heck, we can go Senesi + Konate for free. Gives us good height and speed
Get Cancelo in a loan or Free agent + a Fullback like Vanderson/Ratiu/Grimaldo or whoever Flick likes for 15-20m. Our fullbacks are dire, and we desperately need competition.
Heck, if we dont want to pay. Get Cancelo + Mykolenko for free. Atleast Mykolenko will be better than Martin. Cancelo can play both sides.
There arent any good options at the ST position. At most we can do is go cheap and hope they fit well and score because of FlickBall. Go for taller players upfront is atleast giving us some edge, unlike going for short players like Ferran, Alvarez.
I dont like it, but just get Sorloth or Vlahovic for cheap (less than 30m) and pray that their height and build help us. Not many options left anyways.
If Flick wants to try CF type of player, maybe try and get Marmoush, but he will atleast cost 65m and no less. He is good, but I dont know if we should be spending that amount on a CF at this moment.
Its imperitive we take advantage of the market next summer for CBs. There will be a few quality players on the market for cheap or even free, and we have to take advantage of it. We need an LCB and next summer will be a make or break time for us.
Just like last summer, a lot of us were dreading that most decent strikers will be sold in 2025, while next summer wont have any good ones left to chose from. And its coming true. It will be the same for CBs this summer.
If we do srewed business, we dont even need to spend a lot and get most for free, while paying for Sorloth transfer. Senesi + Konate + Mykolenko + Cancelo all for free. Though I would rather get Shlotterbeck than Konate.
And Lewa leaving will easily compensate on the wage bill front.

Easy is relative. Not sure you can call AM easy in quarterfinals when they destroy you 4-0. We are not good enough to consider even Newcastle an easy game. We have to understand this and fight hard in every game.

They are both tough for us, thanks to this managers lack of brain. That is true.
Still does not change the fact that other side of the bracket is way tougher.

Considering the squad we have, this is insane. Only Lucho has a better win percentage and he had an insane squad. Messi as a cheat code. Neymar, Suarez. Iniesta, Busquets, Rakitc, Excellent defence too. He was given money to spend too. Nothing like our current circumstances. Given our situation he's done brilliantly.

I don't see it as lack of brain by the manager. Flick has flaws, surely. Xavi did too.
Even someone like peak Pep won't make this side a serious CL favorite. No chance.
We have too many problems to joggle with. In these circumstances, I am glad we are facing teams like Newcastle and potentially Atletico / Tottenham. Also struggling sides.

I never saw a Barca playing so bad like this 1st half and we STILL lead 2-0. ALL players are nowhere, no one is playing well.
We have to play more frontal, direct passes, far TOO… many lateral passes. We cannot score like that if we do not try to engage players in the box or 1-2s.
I do not understand what Hans’s seeing OR told these guys. They all look lost…. Un-understable weak game. IF we play more directly 2nd half we have good chances to score at least 2 other goals.
Atl. Madrid did NOT play anything, but we HAVE to be more courageous and attach directly the goal. I would like to see more shoots from outside of box. Only Fermin tried once and Bernal once too. That’s it.
Flick has to tell them to make more combinations frontal not lateral. We do not go anywhere with so many lateral passes.
Oh man, if we would have a real nr 9!!! Ferran Torres is SOOO… weak. I would take him out at half time and replace him with Olmo or Rashford.

I never saw in my life a weaker team of Barca like this one. This game could have been very easily won at 4-5 goals difference but we lost, all playing so bad. I cannot mention one worse than the other except Bernal. So so frustrating that we controlled the entire game but not able to score more. I never criticized Flick, but this game he lost it. Why? He should have give clear indications how to play. Out team did not have any idea, just haotically atack. So frustrated with Flick.I hoped that he will address this erratic game at half. It did not happen. Disappointed by Lamine, Raphinia, Fermin, Torres, Martin….etc. I would not keep Balde and Gerard Merton in this team even playing for free. These players are NOT professional. It’s loughable when you see Martin playing in one foot. This team is the weakest Barca team from what I recall in my life. Pedri made a bad game too.
I would hoped , being rested, to make a difference in the last 10 min. Hope for nothing…. Not sure why Barca want to keep this guy for $30m either. Completely bad management.
I am too much disappointed so stop here.
