Frankly the fact that we would win back to back LaLigas against Madrid given the current financial difference is astounding.

That should trigger the board to invest in expectation of return, you have to spend money to make it too.

The board understands it. This is the reason we are always struggle with 1:1 , they push the limits all the time, rather than making lower transfers and selling players.

If Laporta wins, you bet he will continue with the same. He is a guy who prioritise trophies above all.

In the summer we SHOULD try to sell some useless players like: Balde, Araujo, Kounde, Casado, Cancelo, Ferran Torres, etc. if offers come for any one of them they should get rid of them. Sooner than later, we have to get rid of as many as possible.
Bardji should be given more minutes to give some rest to Lamine but Bardji should be encouraged to play a little bit risky like Vini jr. and try to dribble the defender on the wing and create some danger in the box. He is playing very safe, more of his passes are back to other player and he is afraid to dribble too much maybe thinking that he might fail. He should try to replicate what Lamine is doing, of course, on his personal terms. What I mean, he should be encouraged by Flick to create more panic on wing.

Of course I did not mention Lewanflopski considering that Barca cannot be so stupid to extend his stay another year, even for FREE.
About Rashford, I understand he likes to be made permanent but still, for $30m Euro, it seems too much. Better bring back Jan Virgili from Mallorca, he’s much younger, much cheaper and with a lot of potential. Rashford is way too slow, lazy, not press high, not so useful for Barca still of play. I am not convinced by him. He might be good as substitute but no more than that.
Honestly, I would love to get Yan Diomande and Victor Osimhen. Later on, after 2-3 years maybe thinking to Haaland…but How we would look with an attack : Diomande- Osimhen-Lamine…. Wow….Forget about Julian Alvarez, he is not that strong, agile, 100% pure nr 9 striker Osimhen.

I even would not be looking to bring Harry Kane at Barca. He would be so expensive for his age and we could not count on him more than 2 years at the max. He is already 32 yrs old. It would be same scenario like in the Lewa case.

Harry Kane would give you 3 excellent seasons, maybe 4.

26/27 - Turned 33 July
27/28 - Turned 34 July [Euro28 in UK]
28/29 - Turned 35 July
---
29/30 - Turnd 36 July [WC30 in Spain]

Then after WC goes to MLS possibly. Son went there just turned 33 for 26m USD and a year on his deal. If we signed Kane to a 5 year deal and saw him go to the MLS for 20m or more with a year left on his deal here than happy days.

I would absolutely take the deal, while you get into smarter finances and find the next Vitor Roque who is actually good and ready for Europe.

No one is saying players should be sold to make team worse.

The idea would be to have a stronger squad.

Being forced into making poor deals on selling players etc is their own doing and fact they have to do that is the issue more than doing it at time do.

Laugh emjoi below if agree.

While there's no big difference in being 1st or 2nd in La Liga prizes there is significant difference in attracting sponsors or negotiating deals while garnering media attention and positivity around your club.

This gets back to Lewa signing. Think the impact for the club was bigger than Ferran, for example.

Would have to calculate the wages on top of transfer fees divided to 4/5 years too. Think Lewa doesn't end up being that much more expensive.
Without taking into account possible re-sale, of course.

Resale and potential reduced amortization through renewals has to come into it.

It all factors in to what the player is worth to buy and worth on the books as an asset.

The same with Gundogan.. paying him 20m a season at that age wasnt good enough and by reports still paying him a bit last season at City.

Real have not planned well but one huge advantage they have over Barca is the players they could sell on to improve situation.

They could probably sell players for 200m+ that have barely featured this season or sell others and bring back Nico etc.

That's the difference of having a president from a business background who ran companies versus Laporta who was a failed politician and a lawyer.

Cancelo: "This is truly the best dressing room I've ever had in my entire career. It's also partly for that reason that I came back. Football always gives you a chance to come back and respond, and this time it's my chance to prove it."

"Hansi is the most demanding coach in my career, but I love that, I love this kind of challenge and commitment. Hansi demands a lot of dribbles and breakthroughs from me, and I know that I can achieve that."
