Only if you devalue other attributes compared to talent.

You are getting tiresome really, because you refuse to admit like a man that you took an L in the argument.

It's natural talent, plus decision making, plus tactical understanding of the game, plus leadership, plus personality.
All the traits that make a player world-class

The fact that it is only potential is because this happens at a lower stage (team, league, competition, etc.)

When what happens there repeats itself at the big stage, the player is not anymore 'of WC potential', he is WC.

I didn't took any L . Raphinha looked a mental fit beast at Leeds and he became even more of that at Barcelona. Couldn't give a shit he has lesser talent than Olise. Talent is not all a player is about.

Raphinha I think tied the record for most goal contributions in a CL season. Did Olise get to that level yet? No.

Your talent, technical ability and effectiveness is what makes you a world class prospect.

Physical attributes can be very useful in a well established system if the manager uses it well. Klopp has used such players very well for his pressing system. But did anyone call Wijnaldum and Henderson world class? No they didn't.

Moussa Sissoko was a monster physically but people called him a clogger.

The reason people called Raphinha world class last season was because of his goals and assists. The work rate was a huge positive but work rate alone can never make you world class.

Why do you think Football fans talk about inferior players doing the dirty work for the real superstars? Scoring goals and creating chances is tougher than pressing well.

Some look at this performance and question Don Hansi's managerial ability. I look at it, and it makes me appreciate him even more.

Our defenders and goalkeepers ( bar Joan Garcia ) range from okay to pretty damn bad. Yet, last season Herr Flick managed to dominate La Liga, pick up a domestic treble and smack Madrid 6 times with their referees doing their best to help them. ALL WITH THAT DEFENSE AND GOALKEEPER.

Name me any other manager in the world who would even come close to doing that with the defenders and goalkeepers we had on board last season? When you factor in that he was seconds away from reaching our first UCL final in 10 years and that we were by far the most entertaining team to watch in the world, Don Hansi was by a country mile the best coach in Europe last season.

If we are being realistic, any other manager in Europe would have us competing with Atleti for 2nd place. We don't really have any business competing for any of the trophies but with Flick doing most of the heavy lifting we are competing for them all.

I know football fans have very short memories, but some people really need to be careful what they wish for.

If only your boy Joan Laporta could have helped Hansi strengthen the defence instead of weakening it this summer.

He looked good at Leeds, nowhere near what we call world-class potential.
Oliseh had world-class potential at Palace. LEarn the difference

Of course you took an L.
Both you and Jamrock.
Trying to prove that Raphina is something that he isn't.

Which is why people called him World Class last season.

Not because he worked hard and pressed well. That's a great thing but doesn't make you a World Class player.

So what?
How does this prove Raphina is (or was at Leeds) world class?

You have trouble with basic argumentation it seems

AGAIN:
world-class players deliver world-class performances at any context and environment, like Yamal and Pedri do for us.

Raphina does not belong to this tier, because he is a system player. Top player, but system-dependent

The fact that he is our 3rd best player does not make his world-class

Who da fuck said he was world class at Leeds dodo bird.

Your logic is big clubs showed interest in X player.

X player went to big club, so he's no world.

3 big clubs showed interest in raphinha, he went to big club and is now world class.

Using your dodo bird logic

I don't even understand what you're trying to argue here.

You used salah numbers to make him world class for years, certainly wasn't overall game for the last 2+ seasons.

But with raphinha it's different?

You're trying to argue two sides of a argument and because that's you're not making sense.

You used wirtz numbers to say he was WC at Leverkusen, so only went Liverpool players put up numbers they are WC for everyone else they need to play like prime Messi?

Meh, it's subiective. Raphinha looked a standout EPL player at Leeds for me.

I remember he had many offers at the time, Chelsea, Arsenal, Barcelona. Certainly made a big impression.

Wether someone calls it world class potential or whatever that means, who cares? Those that didn't believe in him were wrong anyway.

No, that is your logic with Kounde
I never said big clubs showed interest in X player means X player is world-class.
That is silly to even say

Raphina is not world-class. He is a tier below.
We gave you so many examples of the difference
Accept it and move on with your life.

Raphinha was every bit as good as olsie at Leeds but that's not what makes him WC.

His 15 points winning contributions to a league title isn't what makes him WC.

Him average 20 GC for two years at Barca isn't what makes him WC.

13 goals & 9 assist in the CL is what makes him world class.

34 goals & 26 assist all comps is what makes him world class.

Snowing up in big moments is what makes him WC

Birdy just got caught saying some dumb shit about olsie and isak being world class, which would only be based on what they put up last season, and is trying to do mental gymnastics after that 😂😂.

But even when he does raphinha still either matches or beats them

No he was not.
Temptation already explained it to you, and it is common opinion among EPL fans that have watched the league the last 5 years
As much as you distort reality, it won't happen

It's also funny that you and Serghei have the audacity to express strong opinions on how good Raphina was at Leeds when you were not even watching EPL

What's different? Raphinha was indeed World Class last season.

Did you even read what I wrote?
