What's with all these injuries. Team had a full pre-season and players seem to be falling like flies. Medical team got so much praise last season. Was it all just a chance.
Injuries carry a big degree of luck too. Obviously medical teams make a big difference but sometimes - and especially with the intensity and tight spaces Barca often play at, getting kicked a lot - injuries are inevitable.

Also, you have quite a few players who are injury prone imo. For instance Olmo, Casado and Gavi strike me as players who will always be in and out of the team.

Early days but the performances seem much more mature this season than last.

High line isn't causing as much chaos and we are managing games better. Huge part of this is because of the level that both Pedri and De Jong control the game.

Jury still out of how we will look against top opposition but October should be a good indicator when we face PSG and Madrid.

I haven't watched Madrid this season. Has Xabi improved them? Have their signings improved the team?
Genuinely curious. I've been very busy with work and don't post much .

They said it's actually better for him to play every game, just not full time. He's more at risk of getting injured when he misses one entire game. Sounds strange, but he has an individual fitness plan and they found the solution to his injuries.

There's a limit to this. Remember the burned out Pedri picture? Haha

That’s a good one. Yesterday, as I was watching us play, I said to myself “Dare I entertain the notion that we are playing better football than we did under Pep?”

Messi is no more, of course. That individual talent who’d perform magic consistently and unexpectedly beyond anything we had ever seen before isn’t matched rn (obviously). But now the whole frontline is firing on all cylinders. Brutal blitzkrieg from all angles. False flag operations. Total destruction of opponents.
Players who were deemed average under Xavi are matching the performance of the world’s best!

Here’s to the scary part… if it hadn’t been for the Laporta Presidential win, we’d have been stuck w some lame ass President and consequent average Manager who’d be playing boring Mister football for the next 10 years.

For all his flaws, our brand of football starts with Laporta. He understands it, honors it, and lives by it! And he sure as fuck knows how to hire the best managers around.

I agree with most of your post. Although I think and believe that Pep’s Barça was the peak of all football, performance wise and trophy wise. Flick’s Barça on the other hand revitalised the club and made it competitive consistently again.

Managers like Pep, Klopp, Flick… are the reason why I don’t believe in transition seasons. The hierarchy at Man U shouldn’t either. It either clicks or it doesn’t! Not that there needs to be instant success as far as titles are concerned, but evolution of the team and its tactics, playing style, winning mentality should be recognized early on under a new manager. Finishing 15th is just devolution. Full stop!

Anyhow, Rijkaard. Pep. Flick… can’t wait to see who Laporta hires next if Flick decides to leave (which I hope he doesn’t). I have full confidence in Laporta’s ability to hire the best managers. In my eyes, Flick is already a legend at Barca.

I share the exact same opinion, it’s pretty nice to see someone with the same outlook as me regarding Laporta and Flick. Hopefully this season we will go to higher levels and continue playing our great football en route to conquest La Sexta Insha’Allah

He's doing well right now, but yeah, Pep's Barca is the pinnacle of football. It's been clear for a while you really love Flick though, and that enthusiasm is pretty cool.

I hope that Barca can win the CL this season, but very early days. Long time to go. But some of the football so far has been quality from what I have watched,

And yeah, Flicki Flaka amused me.
