I have always defended Klopp on this defeat.

Courtois was perfect that day indeed.

Also lucky Valverde failed shot turned into pass to vini
Guess who was at fault for their goal and lost his marker......? 🐀

Hint: He's looking for a house(or should I say love nest) with Bellingham as we speak.

That was an incredibly entertaining season but in my opinion he is a bit limited tactically.

You cant keep attacking and defending so high on the field when you are winning by 1 or 2 goals..that cost us the CL...
I strongly disagree. What let us down was the individual quality of our backup players. Flick's tactics are absolutely brilliant and the perfect fit for this squad, the amount of fluidity we have in attack, the insane number of goals and the belief that the players have in the system is the proof of that. With Balde and Kounde fit we would not have gone out in the CL.

Exactly. This team thrives off relentless attack. It's one of the reasons Xavi failed. His park the bus antics against inferior teams clearly didn't sit well with players who want more freedom to attack.

Speaking of Klopp...not sure how long Flick is going to be here, but we should definitely be aiming for Klopp s our next manager and continuw the German football era of Barca.

Revolutionized the club.

"I am going to have to check my heart,” the Barcelona coach said.

“It would be easy to say that the tactic is to score four if they score three. We have to improve a lot defensively".

Imma just gonna leave this right here.

But I'm glad he regionalized this isn't sustainable.

To improve this team first thing we need

1. DM who can actually defend.

The one bit the forum brain trust doesn't see lol, but since that won't happen.

2. We need to drop the line by about 5-10 yards, so it will still be high but not suicide high.

I use to think we needed a striker who can press from the front, which would free up the wingers to track the opposition FB, but we've played with Torres and still conceding 3 goals per game.

3. But the entire team needs to press more efficiently, now we are just closing down the man that's closest to you, but it's not really organized.

4. We need to integrate this statement more in our play, generally speaking but especially towards the end of a game.

"Possession is not only a means to an end,but a means to defend".

Those 4 things will make us an insanely complete team, but the first one is unlikely to happen, so we'll get 90% there.
