Hansi Flick: ‘I need to have my heart checked. It's unbelievable, of course. Another unbelievable game. 2-0 down. To come back after Tuesday's game in Milan is incredible. The mentality is extraordinary. We have the quality and we also know that if you make mistakes, Real are incredible. They have very good strikers and it's not easy to play against them. We have to get better at that. I know it's very important for the fans and the club. Winning the Clásico four times this season is great. For me, it's more about the fact that we're now seven points clear and need another win.’

It was easier for Xavi to sort the defense as he basically did the simple thing and that was to sacrifice the attack. It is much harder for Flick to do it and still keep this offensive appetite intact. I believe that is called simply managerial greatness. This is a task far above simply comparing to current managers. This is stuff for all time quality.

The easier road for Flick is accepting that the team is not gonna be as deadly offensively, but the benefit is more defensive quality.

We need defensive signings. Not backup, elite ones to compete with Balde and Kounde. I don't consider them both that high anyway. Football is not run according to Transfermarkt.

No team has elite 4 fullbacks, even the oil clubs like PSG or City, or a team that is hoarding talents like Chelsea. It just doesn't happen.

We need 2 solid backup that won't make us miserable when one of those 2 missed.
Same in attack, we need someone who is far more reliable than the likes of Fati and Victor, who can't even get it done versus segunda team like Valladolid.
CB is a position that I would aim for "elite" player. Someone who is a top 5 CB at least on CL nights, would change the fortune of this team.
The question is who? Maybe Tah is ready to step up, we can pray

A starting CB is a must for me. Not a doubt. The only starter quality this team needs is in CB. No fullback on the market can play ahead of Kounde and Balde if fit. But simply have to believe it can get better at CB than Cubarsi and Inigo. Come on...

We play with a single fullback in Balde, Kounde wasn't meant to be the right-back. Forget abour 4 elite fullbacks, Barca played the CL 1/2 final with a role player in Eric Garcia and Tercera level Gerard Martin and seconds away from the final.

Kounde’s a full time full back these days, irregardless of what we brought him in for. Neither of our Fbs is perfect, but who is? Need two solid players as backups, nothing fancy.

Think many players would be excited to play for this Barca. Atmosphere has turned around completely and squad is to return to Camp Nou too.

Provided we are back to 1:1, Flick needs to extend some of his magic to transfers and make couple of calls. I know his track record in Bayern wasn't great but he knows best what we need.
