That was PSG starting eleven minus two guys in attack and Neves. And frankly Mbaye and Mayulu were pretty good as replacements. Mbaye even cooked Kounde on one occasion. Mayulu scored a goal. You can say they missed Neves, but then Zaire Emery didn't do bad either
We missed Garcia, Balde, Raphinha of the starters. While Raphinha's replacement did well, I believe we can all agree Rapha's directness was solely missed throughout the game. Tek and Martin were not near as good as Garcia or Balde would be in their positions
So there is the difference. We missed same number of players approximately, but PSG had proper replacements. Our SD pulls players from tercera and thinks they can go toe to toe with world's best footballers on the biggest stage. There is the big difference.

This. didnt get the Araujo snub. He's prone to the occasional brainfart or two but I felt he would have been better. Christensen is too slow.

We need quite a few reinforcements and might not be able to afford a single one. Which is why I won't be surprised if Flick resigns and we end up with some scrub as our next manager in 2026/27.
At the minimum we need a LB, RB and CB. And then you need to sort out the #9 situation too. That's a lot of money that need to be invested for a club that could barely register 30m of signings this summer.
Top managers usually don't come to clubs like ours with all the issues we have. We managed to get Flick because he had something to prove after his Germany stint was a disaster although it's hardly going better for Nagelsmann right now so probably a talent issue there.

Bro stop with your excuses, the entire PSG front 3 was missing they had two kids start and their 4th choice Forward in barcola.

They were also missing neves and vitinha was injured according to every single report and their captain was out.
So that's 5 players completely missing and one playing with a knock.
We were missing balde today that's basically it, rashford did well and Tek did his job, he's not saving any of those shorts nor is Garcia.
But even if you want to add raphinha, it makes no difference it's 2 to 5 and a half ffs lol, because I Garcia vs tek is a non starter
We put on a poor display today against a PSG B teams that's just the truth accept it and move on.

Anyone with common sense knew that we needed defenders in the summer and we got nothing lol.
-Araujo - poor technically and hugely error prone.
-Christensen - can't be relied on as too injury prone
-Cubarsi - overrated as fuck by this fanbase. Nowhere near good enough and still has a lot to learn. Can't even remember the last time this guy was good.
-Garcia - should be playing at RB not CB.
Again, Inigo was the best defender at this club, what on earth were those clowns thinking when they let him go for free to Saudi without getting a replacement?

Arguably their full backs are what set them apart and same tonight.
They open up the whole game for PSG.

I don't take any pleasure in us losing, but I do take some in us losing to a PSG team with 5 starters missing and 1 playing injured as it relates to the little narrative Bojan was trying to build 😂😂.

This is actually a good point. Mendes is like the fucking terminator driving them up the pitch. With our defensive options we have no way of dealing with it.
Still commend Flick for the job he's done thus far considering the finances.
